The revitalized Public Space between Market Square and the cruise terminal, renamed Ihtoli-maqahamok (The Gathering Space) will reopen in Spring 2024. The new space features retractable glass enclosed patios for restaurants along Market Square, a new sound stage for outdoor concerts, an outdoor skating rink for winter, a splash pad for summer, as well as other interactive games, and includes an extension of the Harbour Passage walking trail with two outdoor amphitheatres for performers.
